A speaker mesh banner, also called soundmesh, is a printed cover you hang in front of a speaker tower or stage wall without muffling the sound. How is it different from a standard mesh banner?

Speaker mesh is a 250 g PVC material with larger holes than standard mesh. Thanks to this open structure, sound passes through more easily, and so does wind. The print looks sharp from a distance, which suits a stage or speaker tower that the audience sees from a few meters away. For a banner viewed up close, frontlit is a better choice. The differences between all materials are explained in which material to choose for your banner.

What do you use a speaker mesh banner for?

  • Speaker towers at festivals and concerts: hide the equipment behind the event or sponsor logo.
  • Stage walls and DJ booths: a printed front instead of a black wall, which also looks good in photos and videos.
  • Fixed venues and rental companies: one banner made to fit a permanent setup, which you hang up again at every event.

Size and finishing

You enter the width and height yourself in centimeters, matched to the speaker tower, truss, or stage wall. For fixing, you choose from:

  • no finishing, if you attach or tension the banner yourself;
  • all edges hemmed, with or without eyelets in the corners, every 30 cm or every 50 cm;
  • a Ø 6 cm tunnel at the top and bottom, or on the left and right, to hang the banner from a pole or truss.

Which finish suits your structure is explained in which finishing to choose for banners. If the shortest side is longer than 200 cm, you also choose whether the banner may be shipped folded. That is cheaper, but fold lines may remain visible.

Larger than 40 m²?

For a complete stage wall or a large sound system, choose an XXL banner in speaker mesh, up to 200 m² per banner. Have special requirements, such as a custom shape or a large number of banners? Request a quote.

Does a speaker mesh banner let sound through?

Yes. Speaker mesh has larger holes than ordinary mesh, so it lets sound through better than a closed banner.

How much does a speaker mesh banner cost?

A speaker mesh banner costs from € 7,50 per m² excl. VAT. The price depends on the size and finishing. You see it as soon as you select your options.

Is speaker mesh flame-retardant?

Yes, speaker mesh is FR B1 certified. This is mandatory at many events and venues.

How large can a speaker mesh banner be?

From 50 x 50 cm up to 40 m² per banner. For larger sizes, order an XXL banner in speaker mesh, up to 200 m².

How do I attach a speaker mesh banner?

With eyelets along a hemmed edge, or with a Ø 6 cm tunnel for a pole or truss. You choose the finishing when you order.
