Klio Eco: bioplastic and recycled plastic pens

The Klio Eco range contains ballpoint pens for conscious and sustainable advertising. This brand has 2 types of eco ballpoint pens: bioplastic pens and recycled plastic ballpoint pens. Let us explain the difference between these 2 concepts.

Ballpoint pens made of biomaterial

All bio models of the Klio Eco brand are made of biodegradable PLA plastics certified according to DIN EN ISO 13432. The special bio-plastic compound is plant-based and thus renewable raw material. All plants containing starch (potatoes, maize, sugar beet, etc.) can be used to produce PLA.

Klio bio ballpoint pens are for example the Klio Cobra and the Klio Zeno.

Ballpoint pens made of recycled plastic

In the manufacture of our recycled products, the focus is on the reuse of plastic waste. Plastic waste is shredded and forms the raw material for a durable writing instrument. In addition to the regenerated plastic produced by the company itself, purchased and unmixed plastic granules are also used in the production process. In addition to the body, the mechanism of the ballpoint pens also consists of these granules of recycled materials.

Klio recycling ballpoint pens are for example the Klio Jona and Klio Shape.
