Paper prices are rising even more

A while ago we talked about the strong increase in paper prices and what the causes were. Unfortunately, the story is not over yet. From September onwards, paper prices will rise again for the third time already this year, which could mean a price increase of about 40% in 3/4 years.

The price increases differ per paper/cardboard type and product. Depending on the product you are comparing, you will see a greater or lesser increase in price. For example, for cardboard this will be between 5 and 15%, for envelopes between 15 and 25%, for coated and uncoated paper between 8 and 14%.

The causes of the rising prices are already well-known: paper pulp shortage, high transport costs, an increasing gas shortage and rising energy prices.
